Carotenoids from female Grapsus albolineatus as potential anti-ageing compounds
نویسندگان
چکیده
Introduction: Grapsus albolineatus is thought to have a high concentration of carotenoid pigments. Although studies on male G. been conducted, no pigment extraction from female carried out. Carotenoids ability fight free radicals. Previous research has shown that carotenoids can radicals cause premature skin-aging. The purpose this was find out what kinds are found in and whether they act as natural inhibitors proteins aging, such glucogenase, elastase, hyaluronidase enzymes. Methods: Carotenoids were extracted using column chromatography high-performance liquid (HPLC); molecular docking visualization done with Autodock 4.2 Discovery Studio/Biovia, respectively. Results: According HPLC data, there pigments didehydroastaxanthin, tetrahydroastaxanthin, dihydroastaxanthin, diatoxanthin, astaxanthin, adonixanthin. According experiments, efficient protein elastase hyaluronidase. Conclusions: the potential be anti-aging since more effective than their native inhibitors.

Styryl-Based and Tricyclic Compounds as Potential Anti-Prion Agents
Prion diseases currently have no effective therapy. These illnesses affect both animal and human populations, and are characterized by the conformational change of a normal self protein PrP(C) (C for cellular) to a pathological and infectious conformer, PrP(Sc) (Sc for scrapie). We used a well characterized tissue culture model of prion infection, where mouse neuroblastoma cells (N2a) were infe...
متن کاملThe Significance of Flavonoids as a Potential Anti-Tuberculosis Compounds
Mycobacterium tuberculosis, an agent of tuberculosis (TB), causes serious health problems such as multi drug resistance (MDR-TB), and extensive drug resistance (XDR-TB). According to WHO, 490,000 cases of MDR-TB and 40,000 cases of XDR-TB occur every year. There are several reasons to investigate a new class of antimicrobial drugs and the flavonoids represent a novel set of possibilities. Flavo...
متن کاملNatural Compounds from Mexican Medicinal Plants as Potential Drug Leads for Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs.
In Mexican Traditional Medicine 187 plant species are used in the treatment of respiratory conditions that may be associated with tuberculosis. In this contribution, we review the ethnobotany, chemistry and pharmacology of 63 species whose extracts have been assayed for antimycobacterial activity in vitro. Among these, the most potent is Aristolochia brevipes (MIC= 12.5 µg/mL), followed by Aris...
متن کاملVolatile Organic Compounds from Native Potato-associated Pseudomonas as Potential Anti-oomycete Agents
The plant kingdom represents a prominent biodiversity island for microbes that associate with the below- or aboveground organs of vegetal species. Both the root and the leaf represent interfaces where dynamic biological interactions influence plant life. Beside well-studied communication strategies based on soluble compounds and protein effectors, bacteria were recently shown to interact both w...
